The mysterious collective Sault released two incredible albums in 2020, Untitled (Black Is) and Untitled (Rise). In 2021, they returned with Nine, an album that effortlessly blends contemporary soul with the vintage sounds of jazz-funk, boogie, trip hop, and post-punk. Now, they are back with Air. Their new album is quite the departure, focusing on modern classical and choral arrangements and, while this is incredibly distinct from its predecessors, the brilliance and attention to detail that has been in every Sault album to this point can be found here.
