Jorge Ben ‎- Sacundin Ben Samba LP

$39.98

Label: Polysom

A year after being introduced to Brazil with his Samba Esquema Novo, Jorge Ben released his second album, 1964's Sacundin Ben Samba. Continuing the style of its predecessor and also produced by Armando Pittigliani, this album returns to the shelves as part of the "Clássicos em Vinil" collection by Polysom. Composed of 12 tracks, Sacundin Ben Samba has arrangements by saxophonist J.T. Meirelles. The songs are all written by Jorge Ben, with the exception of "Carnaval Triste" (Paulo Bruce / Sérgio Carvalho) and "Espero por Você" (João Mello), and deal with themes that are already characteristic of the singer and composer, such as love in an innocent tone and chronicles of everyday life. The album includes "Anjo Azul", "Nena Nanã", "A Princesa e o Plebeu", "Pula Baú", "Jeitão de Preto Velho", among others.
