Autechre - Quaristice 2xLP

$34.98

Label: Warp

Release Date: September 5th, 2025

Autechre continue their chronological LP reissue series with Untilted (2005) and Quaristice (2008), two essential releases that haven’t been repressed since their original editions and have remained largely unavailable for over 15 years. In the meantime, scarcity has only increased their cult status, with secondhand copies in high demand among longtime fans and collectors.

Originally released in 2008, Quaristice marked a distinct evolution in Autechre’s output, emerging from the duo’s deep experimentation into a hybrid of live and studio jam aesthetics that would go on to shape their later work. Though many still consider the extended Quaristice.Quadrange.ep.ae the definitive version, the return of the core double LP on vinyl is cause for celebration. Moments like the electro-noir pressure of “Tankakern,” the hyperskewed chaos of “Fol3,” or the gleaming abstraction of “Altibzz” remind us just how forward-facing this record was, completely uninterested in genre trends of its time, and instead mapping its own mutant body music terrain.

The reissues arrive during a major resurgence in Autechre’s activity. Following the release of AE_2022– in late 2024, the duo are preparing for one of their most ambitious tours ever: 25 sold-out shows across the US, Canada, and Mexico in just 29 days this October, plus upcoming dates across the EU (August) and UK (November).

Previously reissued albums in the Warp series include: Incunabula (1993), Amber (1994), Tri Repetae (1995), Chiastic Slide (1997), LP5 (1998), Confield (2001), and Draft 7.30 (2003).
