Jack Rose is remembered and revered for his innovation in contemporary guitar music. His influence had only just begun to take flight before his unexpected death in December of 2009, right before the release of what sadly was to be his final album, Luck in the Valley. Still, his music and influence, much like his person, bold, hearty, and rooted in traditional American music continues to be a source of reference for guitarists and musicians carrying traditional American music into modern times.
