Music for Intersecting Planes marks the first collaborative release between cellist Leila Bordreuil and organist Kali Malone. Minimal in means yet expansive in effect, the music unfolds slowly, like beads on a thread, shaped by silence, breath and subtle shifts in pressure.

Manually pumped organ tones merge with the cello's finely drawn harmonics, forming a microscopic, granular exploration of timbre. Interference patterns ripple through sustained tones as the performers play against stillness and sine waves. Church bells ring in the distance; undulating feedback gives way to insistent organ calls before resolving into a tragic cello motif. The album closes with the brief, jubilant pizzicato exclamation "Endless Dance of Eternal Joy."

Recorded by candlelight at the Temple de Saint-Theodule in La Tour-de-Peilz, Switzerland, the music balances patience and intensity, composition and chance, severity and tenderness. The collaboration reveals new dimensions in both artists' practices: Bordreuil's heightened tonal clarity and Malone's organ work at its most raw and textural.
